       Shawl Weaving Artisan - Winding and Warping

       Fly wheel / charkha and swift dual operation in winding process

       Objectives : At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
       •  operate fly wheel/charkha and swift for pirn and bobbin winding.


         Requirements
          Tools/Equipment’s/Instruments                     Materials

          •  Fly wheel/charkha               - 1 No         •  Hank yarn                          - as reqd.
          •  Swift with stand small size     - 1 No.
          •  Empty Pirn                      - 1 No.
         •   Empty bobbin                    - 1 No.

       PROCEDURE

       TASK 1: Operate flywheel/charkha and swift for pirn and bobbin winding

       1  Place the yarn onto the swift. (Fig 1)            5  Pull the loose end of the yarn from the swift. (Fig 3)
